  Yeah been happening to me for the duration of 18 mate.
  I remember two patches ago the squads downloading successfully first time after the update and was certain they had finally fixed it.

  @Dan is Clutch I don't know if the Ibra=Brown error isn't caused by not downloading the squad update so if you play with him you might have to download it everytime to make sure he doesn't end up with 1* skills.
  Otherwise yeah no problem to play without downloading it.

  Yeah it's a frequent thing for me, but I don't delete anything. When it doesn't load, I just press B to go back out to the menu, then back in to FUT and it goes right in no issues.

  One of the ways to avoid this is to take your time and slow down entering ultimate team. My friend and I kept having this and he noticed when he booted the game up he noticed if that annoying flashing yellow FIFA 18 logo thing at the bottom screen was blinking away if he went straight into ultimate team he'd get a fake squad update. If he sat on the main menu and waited for it to stop blinking and disappear and then went into ultimate team he's never had a problem. I do the same thing now and not had a problem since. (Have tested it once or twice and both times I've had the fake update because I jumped straight in to fut while the logo was flashing.)

  No problems fella. As I said it won't stop it every time, but it works 99% of the time.
  My mate only figured it out when one of the EA devs replied to post on twitter. They said about the fake squad update being linked to laggy/delayed server responses which delayed the console from loading your latest settings.

  No problems fella. Just trying to be for once lol.
  Also just a side note to people, that yellow 18 sign can pop up on the main hub when moving between tabs or sections, not just when you boot up. So keep an eye out for it when you go in and back out of anything like settings, catalogue, skill games, the journey etc before you enter ultimate team.
