This fridge has lasted my grandmother many years. I've recently taken over her house about two years ago.
In the past few months, there has been ice, NOT FROST but actual ice located at the bottom of the freezer. About 1-2 inches. Some of my bagged frozen vegetables that were on the bottom, I'm unable to pull out because of the ice surrounding it. I noticed this now just after vacation.
This happened once before about four months ago and we just chiseled away the ice on the bottom because it was not that bad.
I attempted to look at the parts however, I am not savvy when it comes to appliances and I also didn't want to ruin the appliance nor any food in my fridge or freezer.
Note:
We do not have an ice maker as this is a vintage refrigerator.
I did have my electricity updated about 6 months ago as per city code, not sure if this even matters.
In the end, Since this bad boy has worked so well fo so many years, I would like to keep it working and take care of it. I need guidance if anyone can help me!
